Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: August 15, 2026

This page explains how to ask PadiDesk Technologies Limited to delete personal information processed through PadiDesk, including information handled through a connected WhatsApp Business account.

1. Who can request deletion

  • PadiDesk account holders — the person who registered a business on PadiDesk.
  • Business staff and team members — people invited to a PadiDesk workspace or authorised to act through the WhatsApp integration.
  • Customers of a business that uses PadiDesk — people whose details or messages were processed because they dealt with that business.
  • People who contacted us through the website contact form or support email.

Every request can be sent to support@padidesk.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.

2. Account holders and staff

Signed-in owners and managers can start this from inside the app: go to Settings → Privacy & your data. There you can download a full copy of your business records and submit a deletion request for the whole workspace or for your own access only. We log the request, acknowledge it by email, and confirm once the deletion is done.

Prefer email? Write to support@padidesk.com from the email address on the account and include:

  • subject: Data Deletion Request
  • your full name
  • the registered email address on the account
  • the business name and the registered phone number
  • whether you want the whole business workspace deleted, or only your own user access

Account owners can already remove individual staff members, disconnect the WhatsApp integration, and disconnect a payment integration from within the app at any time. Before requesting full deletion, export any records you need — deletion cannot be reversed.

If you are a staff member rather than the owner, we may need to confirm with the business owner before removing records that belong to the business.

3. Customers of a PadiDesk business

If you are a customer of a business that uses PadiDesk, that business controls the customer records and conversations in its own workspace, so contacting them directly is usually the fastest route — they can delete or correct your details themselves.

You do not have to start there. If you cannot reach the business, they no longer operate, or you would rather deal with us, email support@padidesk.com with the subject Data Deletion Request and tell us:

  • the name of the business you dealt with, if you know it
  • the phone number or email address you used with that business
  • what you would like deleted

We will locate the relevant records, act on the request where we are able to, and where the business is the party responsible for the data we will pass the request on and follow up so that it does not go unanswered.

4. WhatsApp / Meta-related data

When a business connects a WhatsApp Business account to PadiDesk, we process messages and related metadata exchanged through that business account — phone numbers, message text, message identifiers, timestamps, delivery status and conversation context. See the WhatsApp section of our Privacy Policy for detail.

To have that information deleted, email support@padidesk.com and include:

  • subject: WhatsApp Data Deletion Request
  • the WhatsApp phone number involved (in international format)
  • the business you were messaging, if known

We will delete the conversation records associated with that number, subject to the exceptions in section 6. Some data ages out automatically regardless of any request: raw webhook events are deleted after 30 days, WhatsApp message content and media references are cleared after 90 days, and voice-note audio is deleted after 24 hours by default while the transcript remains part of the business record.

Deleting data held by PadiDesk does not delete messages stored in WhatsApp itself or by Meta. To manage that, use WhatsApp's own settings and Meta's account tools.

This page is the data deletion instructions URL configured for the PadiDesk Meta application. Its address will not change while it is in use. Deletion requests received here are handled by PadiDesk support using the internal process described above; no credentials or endpoint details are needed from you.

5. Identity verification

Before acting we need to be reasonably sure the request comes from the right person, so that one person cannot erase another's records. In most cases it is enough to email from the address on the account, or to confirm the phone number used in the conversation. We only ask for further proof where a request is unclear, disputed or high risk, and we ask for the minimum needed.

6. How we handle your request

  • We acknowledge the request by email.
  • We verify identity or authority as described above.
  • We identify the records involved and confirm what can be deleted.
  • We carry out the deletion and confirm what was deleted and what, if anything, was retained and why.

Requests are handled without undue delay and within the timeframe required by applicable law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. If a request is complex we will tell you and keep you updated.

7. What may not be deleted immediately

Some information may be retained after a deletion request where it is:

  • required by law, including accounting, tax and record-keeping obligations
  • needed for security, fraud prevention or abuse investigation
  • needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim or to resolve a dispute
  • part of audit records showing that an action occurred
  • still present in routine system backups, which are not edited individually and age out on their normal lifecycle

Where information is retained for one of these reasons, we limit its use to that purpose. We cannot promise instant removal from every backup copy.
